When faced with evil
When faced with evil

The other day God gave me an opportunity that I would’ve declined if I’d knew it was coming. He put me face to face with evil. This evil was different. Not an evil that you witness and pray the Lord save it. It was an evil that gets us mad, an evil that makes us want to strike in defense. One of the hardest things to go through is knowing you are right and stand righteously but evil stands before you, points its long finger deep into your heart and soul and says, “your dead wrong, what you did is crap”. JUST LIKE THAT!

It does something to you – it tears your insides, it rips you open as you stand there speachless knowing that you stand righteous and on what is right and you can’t do anything else about it but take in those words and believe that the Lord holds all things in His hands… even the evil that attacks His own..

Right then and there I was looking at evil in the eyes – I wanted to react but I felt just a piece of what Christ Jesus felt when He was betrayed, when He was crucified and said not a word – just stood there knowing He was right. He knew he stood holy and righteous and evil was trying to harm the plan of God BUT INSTEAD it helped draw out the will of God..

The Lord puts me in places like this I believe to feel His heart to know His pain (atleast a small percentage if it). I thank God I have a wife, parents and friends that pray for me. I know I am here today because of the faithful prayers of my mother, her prayers availed.

I praise the Lord for my father and the relationship we now have due to God’s restoration in both of our lives, and I praise God because He’s now given me a father that prays for his son. My father calls me and says, “son I was reading and the Lord gave me a word for you.

I want to share it with you, because sometimes we just forget… I believe this will help you if one day you are faced with evil

1 Peter 3:13-17 (Amplified Bible)

13Now who is there to hurt you if you are zealous followers of that which is good? 14But even in case you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, [you are] blessed (happy, to be envied). Do not dread or be afraid of their threats, nor be disturbed [by their opposition]. 15But in your hearts set Christ apart as holy [and acknowledge Him] as Lord. Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you, but do it courteously and respectfully. 16[And see to it that] your conscience is entirely clear (unimpaired), so that, when you are falsely accused as evildoers, those who threaten you abusively and revile your right behavior in Christ may come to be ashamed [of slandering your good lives]. 17For [it is] better to suffer [unjustly] for doing right, if that should be God’s will, than to suffer [justly] for doing wrong.

I know what you are talking about. I know how it feels. I think betrayel is the ultimate test. The worst part is letting it go. But yes, I had the same experience, I felt like I was tasting a little bit of what our Jesus went through, and it is so hard to swallow. Almost a year since, and my heart still bleeds, my tears still run and yet I know that I need to let go. It is only through prayer that we will be able to make it. It is through the realization of knowing and trusting that our life is in His hands and that no one can touch it. It is with His love and His forgiveness, that we can love and forgive those that hurt us….I have said too much already, but I will continue to pray and worship Him with all my heart.

Been praying for you! This is the tough part of Christianity, but no one said it’d be easy. We truly do have victory in the Lord!

People say the Bible is old school, but they are so wrong. This is one of those times that the words on those pages become SO REAL to you. This will be a marker in your spiritual life, one that you will look back on & share bc the Lord is allowing you to love in a trying, deep new way & with Him you know you can do it! In our prayers!
