Living in Sin
Living in Sin

Sin in our lives can be very hard to deal with. At times we don’t know how to stop it, how to let go of it or how to turn away from it in order to be restored. It can even get to the point where we just ignore what we know is right, continue living in that sin and justify it just to make us feel at ease.

Has that happened to anyone? Have you ever questioned yourself: Do I want to stop? Am I enjoying living this way? Do I care about what God thinks? Will I take advantage of His grace & continue with this? Do I even fear God?

Well friends, it happens. It’s a constant battle in the flesh.

*Galatians 5:17* The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

You see, it’s imperative to realize when we’re living in sin, we need to be attentive to the conviction we have in our hearts about that sin & most importantly we need confess our sins to our Holy Father.

A few Sunday’s ago, God brought me to Psalm 32: 3-5:

*When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat.

Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.

And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.*

Psalm 32: 8a

The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you

You see, God wants us to confess our sins, repent, and be free (not trying to hide the guilt). He wants us to confess it all to Him, to speak to Him about it; that we may be forgiven… And my friends, He will guide us along THE BEST pathway for our lives! =) wow, how awesome is that?!

(Acts 3:19 NKJV) “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

After God showed me Psalm 32, He showed me Psalm 25: 4-5 & 8

“Show me the right path, o Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray

May our hearts cry out, “Lead me by your truth and teach me Lord!

I heard this preaching on T.V.

“The only way the eagle learns to fly is by falling. Have you fallen?? Is anybody falling now?? You will fall, but you will never fail. All that is required of you is that you attempt to get right with God. You’re never going to hit rock bottom, b/c underneath, just before you crash down and burn, you will find the everlasting strength. God is allowing you to go through this to end your weakness, not to crush you- but to make you realize that what you’re in is not worth it, it’s not right & it’s not what He has planned for you.

Focus, confess, pray & repent- F.C.P.R as I like to call it lol Attempt (try, go for it, make an effort) to turn away… to get back up.

No matter what situation we’re in, He said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Be comforted by this: “For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Moment by moment, He thinks of us- we are never out of His thoughts, he even calls us friends! =) BF.F.L! woo hoo! =)

His plans for us are beyond anything we could imagine. Let go of that sin, ask the Holy Spirit to help you get right and to strengthen you! His Power works best in weakness, for when you are weak then you are strong. His grace is all you need, my dear friends! =)

If you let him, God will take your mistakes and missteps and put you back on a track that glorifies Him! He will cause all things to work together for good (Romans 8:28). Plus, when you have repented and turned to Him again, you can then strengthen your brethren (Luke 22:32)

So remember: Focus, Confess, Pray & Repent. (F.C.P.R.)

.:*Walking in His ways, we may fall, but the beauty is that we have grace & mercy*:. (Deacon Roger said this last week)

.:*Be restored today*:.
