Get Connected

Get ConnectedHow many times has someone told you or someone you know, who’s going through a crisis, “don’t worry, just seek God”. That’s great advice but I’ve realized that not everyone knows how to seek God and others just need some coaching or guidance better to say.

In our new series, “Get Connected” we will be focusing on our intimacy with our Lord in different areas. Scripture shows us the importance of finding our secret place with Christ and just spending time with Him, away from all distraction, all noise, and all interruptions.

In Matthew 26:36, Jesus was with His closest disciples and as he arrives to Gethsemane with them he tells them to sit down where they were at while He went to pray over there.

Where is over there exactly? who knows but we do know that He wanted to be alone, He wanted to be at a place where no one would bother and where He can pour out His all to His Father.

Mark 1:35 shows us that Jesus woke up early, way before daylight and He went out to pray. The place where He prayed was described as a solitary or deserted place, again wanting to get away from all interruptions and from all distractions.

The Lord teaches us clearly the importance of getting connected.

We can’t be so busy that we don’t have time to connect with our Savior. Our connecting to Jesus daily needs to come before everything else that is planned in our day.

If Jesus found time in His busy schedule to get connected, then we should find that deserted/isolated place where we too can connect.

As we speak in the next few weeks on “Get Connected”, we will be aiming on getting plugged into Jesus through prayer, worship, and through His Word.

My prayer is that I may have the heart of Daniel, and that the church will connect with their Lord in the same manner that Daniel did, no matter the cost.

In the book of Daniel chapter 6 it says that Daniel knelt down on his knees three times and prayed and gave thanks before His God, as was his custom since early days.

It might not seem like a big deal but Daniel understood that if he would of bowed down and called on the name of God he would of been killed by being thrown into the lions den. That didn’t scare him or even move him, still he went home (to his isolated place, away from all the noise) opened his window not scared of anything and did what was custom to him since his early days; get connected. That’s all that mattered to him, lets make it all that matters to us.

Join us as we GET CONNECTED.

Blessings!
